Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Medical Assistant for a full-time day position at 01120 GCMG Cabarrus Family Medicine: University Hospital Campus. You will perform patient intake, vital signs, medication reconciliation, and support for physicians during visits.

Responsibilities include venipuncture, specimen labeling, CPT/POCT testing, and ensuring accurate documentation. A high school diploma or accredited MA program is required, with current BLS certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or structured military medical training.
• Two years of verifiable MA experience may be required in some divisions.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and policy.
• Rooming/visit tasks including vital signs, history, and screenings.
• Assist provider with procedures and administer vaccines.
• Performs venipuncture, specimen handling, and CLIA-waived tests.
• Maintain clean, stocked work environment and accurate charting.
