Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC seeks a Medical Assistant at Carolinas Medical Center - LC: Gynecology: Morehead to support patient care and clinic operations. You will take vitals, assist with procedures, manage labs, and help with scheduling and communication in a busy gynecology setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or MA program completion with BLS certification, and offers a 40-hour, Monday–Friday schedule in a full-time capacity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or structured military training in lieu.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and patient histories, review allergies and health maintenance.
• Assist providers with procedures and rooming/visit tasks.
• Perform venipuncture, specimen handling, and basic lab duties per CLIA waivers.
• Administer medications and vaccines following safety protocols.
• Coordinate referrals, scheduling, and patient messaging.
• Maintain clean, stocked work areas and participate in team communication.
