Job summary

aah seeks a qualified Medical Assistant to join the team at 01120 GCMG Ballantyne Family Medicine - Family Medicine in Charlotte. The role involves rooming patients, vitals, history taking, and supporting providers with procedures.

Responsibilities include lab tasks, specimen handling, CLIA-waived tests, vaccine administration, and coordinating referrals and scheduling. Must meet education and certification requirements and maintain a patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required across multiple divisions.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 2 years of verifiable MA experience (last 5 years).
• Certification as CMA/RMA or equivalent per national organizations may be required.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Medical Assistant scope of practice and hospital policies.
• Perform rooming tasks: vitals, med reconciliation, history, screenings.
• Assist provider with procedures and lab duties including venipuncture and POCT.
• Administer medications and vaccines following medication rights.
• Handle referrals, scheduling, insurance authorizations and patient messaging.
