Job summary

Qualifications

• Five years medical assistant experience with highly complex chronic disease management or in a specialty discipline.
• Demonstrates the skills and competencies necessary to safely perform the assigned job, with ongoing assessments and performance evaluations.
• Proficient in computer skills for documentation and work-related purposes.

Responsibilities

• Provides care to patients visiting the clinic under the direct supervision of a Physician, Registered Nurse, or clinic leadership, completing pre-visit planning where possible.
• Documents vital signs, chief complaints, medical and social history in the EMR, and records all diagnostics and treatments.
• Performs follow-up to ensure compliance with recommendations and lab results, and facilitates patient activation of MyChart.
