Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or military clinical training.
• Requires 2 years of experience in a clinical practice as Medical Assistant.
• Current AHA BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and room patients, perform lab procedures, and assist with physician/APP procedures and medications.
• Process test requests and referrals; follow pre-approved care algorithms; coordinate with RN/Physician.
• Communicate with the health care team to maintain clinic flow and accurate patient information.
• Perform clinical skills (suturing, phlebotomy, EKG, spirometry) under supervision.
• Provide age-appropriate care and interpret data to meet patient needs per standards.
