Job summary

Nava Public Benefit Corp. is seeking a Policy Strategist to analyze Medicaid policy and translate insights into practical, compliant guidance for an integrated eligibility platform.

You will independently research federal and state requirements, prioritize policy work with a team, and develop actionable recommendations to improve service outcomes. Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in policy analysis with ability to translate findings into practical recommendations.
• Hands-on experience researching and interpreting policy using statutes, regulations, or authoritative guidance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication across technical and policy contexts.
• Ability to document research processes, findings, and recommendations clearly and concisely.
• Experience with Medicaid eligibility and enrollment policy (applications, verification, renewals, notices, or appeals).
• Experience working within agile delivery and human-centered design processes.

Responsibilities

• Policy Translation & Implementation
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate policy into system behavior, workflows, and user experiences
• Identify regulatory constraints, risks, and ambiguities and propose compliant, user-friendly solutions
• Conduct landscape and cross-jurisdictional research to monitor evolving policies and translate them into implementation implications
• Build relationships with external partners to exchange implementation lessons and create opportunities to share Nava’s policy expertise
• Support testing and validation of policy implementation (scenarios and edge cases)
