Job summary

Nava Public Benefit Corp. is seeking a Policy Strategist to translate Medicaid policy analysis into practical recommendations for integrated eligibility platforms. You will research federal and state requirements, define priorities with teams, and shape policy-driven decisions that improve government service delivery.

You’ll work across product, design, and engineering to ensure compliant, user-centered solutions, with remote-friendly options across states and potential security considerations.

Qualifications

• Three years of policy analysis experience or relevant graduate education.
• Experience researching and interpreting policy using statutes or regulations.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in policy contexts.
• Document research processes and recommendations clearly.
• Experience with Medicaid eligibility and enrollment policy.
• Experience with agile delivery and human-centered design processes.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Interpret policy and improve program processes, operations, or technology.
• Identify policy questions, propose approaches, and progress when undefined.
• Policy translation and implementation.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate policy into system behavior, workflows, and user experiences.
• Identify regulatory constraints and risks; propose compliant solutions.
• Develop policy briefs and decision frameworks to support prioritization.
• Support testing and validation of policy implementation.
• Conduct landscape and cross-jurisdictional research on evolving policies.
