Good Giant is the largest gaming-focused advertising agency in the United States and operates in Reno, Nevada, Mobile, Alabama, Chicago, Illinois and Tulsa, Oklahoma. We provide comprehensive marketing services to various brands with a specialization on tribal and commercial casino resorts from coast to coast.

DESCRIPTION

As a Media Planner at Good Giant, you will be responsible for analyzing data, thinking creatively, and dreaming up innovative strategies to make sure campaigns reach the right audience. As a planner, you will assess different types of media to target specific markets our clients want to reach as well as staying on top of media trends and usage statistics from multiple sources. This individual is an analytical person and professional in all communications both inside the agency and with clients. They thrive on creating disruptive efforts in media, yet at the same time understand how data/tech drive business.

Knowledge and understanding of both digital and traditional media are imperative.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish goals and objectives.
  • Evaluate costs per medium to guide media mix and allocations.
  • Identify target markets and target audiences.
  • Provide on-going media planning insight and recommendations.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics.
  • Collaborate directly with clients as needed.
  • Study demographic data, geographic data, consumer data and audience insights.
  • Evaluate editorial content, exposure levels, and audience composition of a wide range of media for effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Incorporate statistics and audience insights into comprehensive media plans, including presentation decks and flowcharts, and provide directives to guide the buying process.
  • Work as a strategic partner to agency clients, understanding their goals to exceed them. Must have ability to contribute at both strategic and tactical levels, including identifying new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with account team leads to develop media briefs.
  • Ability to present media plans to agency management, clients, and new business prospects.
  • Attend client media strategy and planning calls as needed.
  • Keep current on new and emerging technologies, media usage trends, integrations, industry benchmarks, etc.
  • Work with Director of Media Planning to help mentor the media buying team on strategic and tactical media planning best practices and trends that may impact our client roster.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong attention to detail, time management and follow-through as well as decision-making, organizational, planning, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to integrate quickly into fast-paced environment and be a collaborator.
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal
  • Positive, can-do attitude with the ability to take direction well.
  • Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities, duties and/or projects.
  • Ability to work well independently and withina team environment.
  • Working knowledge of Nielsen ratings data.
  • Basic knowledge of standard media cost comparisons such as cpps and cpms.
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Looker Studio.
  • Must be able to travel to supported markets or clients as needed.
  • 7+ years of agency or in-house media experience in planning.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PPT.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, including Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
