Role Overview
The Sr. Shutdown Maintenance Planner will lead planning activities for plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and outages. This role requires technical expertise in maintenance and construction to ensure seamless execution, collaborating with maintenance teams, contractors, engineers, and construction personnel to maximize equipment uptime and operational readiness. The role includes supervising a team of maintenance planners responsible for job plans and preventive maintenance schedules across production lines.

Responsibilities:

• Manage up to 5 maintenance planners, creating job plans and preventive maintenance schedules for each production line
• Conduct risk assessments prior to shutdowns to identify safety concerns and schedule limiters
• Coordinate job plan packages from various departments to prevent conflicts
• Communicate schedules to all stakeholders using scheduling software
• Work with operations to ensure timely shutdowns and startups
• Monitor and adjust shutdown schedules during events, resolving delays
• Provide progress updates during shutdowns
• Manage outsourced labor and skills needs
• Produce post-shutdown assessments highlighting successes and areas for improvement

Qualifications:

• 5+ years managing industrial projects in maintenance or construction
• Proven leadership in developing high-performing maintenance teams
• Experience with CMMS and planning software (Microsoft Project, Wrike, P6, etc.)
• Ability to read technical prints and drawings
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Experience troubleshooting complex electrical and mechanical systems
• Passion for sustainability and positive environmental impact
