Job summary

Ford Motor Company seeks a highly capable Core Architect to lead the senior technical direction for mechatronic features from concept to formal sign-off. You will own the front end of the feature lifecycle, drive stakeholder elicitation, system architecture, and requirement traceability.

You will coordinate with Modeling and Testing Engineers to execute modeling, verification, and validation, while conducting functional safety analyses and DFMEA, and guiding prototype strategy and gate sign-offs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Systems/Mech/Elec/Mechatronics).
• 5+ years in systems engineering, architecture, or mechatronics.
• Experience with INCOSE/EARS, DFMEA, and traceability.
• Knowledge of SysML and CATIA V6 for modeling.

Responsibilities

• Lead feature intake, operations, and gate reviews.
• Define system boundary, interfaces, and traceability.
• Perform functional safety analyses and DFMEA with controls.
• Validate requirements and hand off to Mechatronics team.
• Oversee physical prototype strategy and test planning.
• Lead cross-functional design reviews and DFMEA workshops.
