Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Integration Engineer for body controls. You will own the intersection of hardware and software, translating component behavior into system requirements and interfaces that drive installation across closures, seating, lighting, switches, mirrors and wipers.

You will lead bring-up, testing and production launch, guiding suppliers, and ensuring traceability from requirements to validation with strong systems engineering foundations.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8+ years in automotive systems integration or similar electromechanical systems.
• Experience authoring and releasing network databases for CAN, LIN and Ethernet.
• Experience with diagnostics and UDS-based service and configuration routines.
• Strong systems engineering fundamentals and traceability.
• Proficiency with oscilloscopes, DMMs and electrical lab equipment.
• First-principles debugging across electrical, software and mechanical domains.
• Ability to influence technical direction across teams and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end integration of body controls components from spec to bench bring-up and production.
• Lead component bring-up and debug on benches, bucks, labcars, and vehicles.
• Drive vehicle manufacturing integration and end-of-line validation for body controls.
• Develop and qualify networked interfaces and artifacts across ECUs.
• Define interface with electrical hardware and distribution teams; create boundary diagrams.
• Define and execute integration and validation test plans for network and component behavior.
• Assist in decomposing vehicle behavior into features and trace to validation results.
• Mentor engineers on integration processes and requirements quality.
