Job summary

Ingersoll Rand Power Tools seeks a Sr Electro-Mechanical Engineer to drive new product development in Hampton, NJ. You will work with software, firmware, electrical and mechanical engineers, leading projects from concept through production launch to deliver innovative power tools.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 5+ years’ experience, with strong design, testing, and collaboration capabilities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electro-mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in electro-mechanical engineering.
• Experience with electronic circuit design and PCBAs.
• Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and enhance mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical systems for power tools.
• Prepare design concepts for analysis and rapid prototype validation.
• Lead projects with global internal teams, suppliers, and operations from concept to production launch.
• Coordinate and drive testing; work with lab technicians to meet test objectives.
• Develop and maintain documentation including layouts, drawings, specifications and BOMs.
• Provide support to manufacturing, quality, procurement and product management.
