Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Senior Electro-Mechanical Engineer to join the Power Tools team in Hampton, NJ. You will design and develop electro-mechanical systems for cordless and corded power tools, collaborating with software, firmware, electrical and mechanical engineers, as well as suppliers, to move concepts to production.

Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electro-mechanical or Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience, with skills in

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electro-mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years of experience
• Expertise in electronic circuit and electrical design, including microprocessors, sensors, wiring, connectors, and PCBAs; Altium experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and enhance mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical systems for innovative new power tools that meet customer needs and global industry standards.
• Prepare design concepts for analysis and rapid prototype validation.
• Lead projects while collaborating with global internal team members, suppliers and operations from conceptual design through production launch.
• Coordinate and drive the completion of testing and work with lab technicians during test execution to meet objectives.
