Job summary

Ingersoll Rand Power Tools seeks a Senior Electro-Mechanical Engineer in Hampton, NJ to drive new product development of cordless and corded tools in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

You will collaborate with software, firmware, electrical and mechanical teams, lead projects from concept through production launch, and ensure designs meet customer needs and global standards while documenting layouts, BOMs, test plans and specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electro-mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of engineering experience.
• Experience with power tools or electromechanical device development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and enhance mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical systems for innovative new power tools that meet customer needs and global industry standards.
• Prepare design concepts for analysis and rapid prototype validation.
• Lead projects while collaborating with global internal team members, suppliers and operations from conceptual design through production launch.
• Coordinate and drive the completion of testing. Work closely with lab technicians during test execution to assure objectives are met.
• Develop and maintain documentation including layouts, drawings, specifications, bills of materials, test plans, lab reports and technical construction files.
