Job summary

Ingersoll Rand in Hampton, NJ seeks a Sr Electro-Mechanical Engineer to drive new product development of power tools and collaborate with global teams across software, firmware, electrical and mechanical disciplines.

You will lead designs from concept to production, manage multiple tasks, and ensure tests meet objectives in a fast-paced environment, delivering robust, manufacturable solutions for diverse markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electro-mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in electro-mechanical or power tools design and development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and enhance mechanical, electrical and electro‑mechanical systems for power tools meeting customer needs and standards.
• Lead projects with global internal teams, suppliers and operations from concept through production launch.
• Coordinate and drive testing; work with lab staff to ensure objectives are met.
• Maintain documentation: layouts, drawings, specs, BOMs, test plans and files.
• Support sourcing, manufacturing, QA, procurement and product management.
