Job summary

HireLifeScience in Boston is seeking an Associate Director to lead mechanistic modeling and quantitative drug development for immunology. The role independently designs model analysis plans and partners with departments and external vendors to deliver aligned strategies and insights.

You will apply PK/PD, PBPK, QSP or other mechanistic models to define success criteria, inform dose selection, and influence trial design across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent with 4+ years in pharma drug development, or PharmD with 6+ years, or MS with 8+ years.
• Educational background in biopharmaceutics, pharmacometrics, mathematics, statistics/biostatistics, computational biology/chemistry, or engineering.
• Hands-on PK/PKPD/QSP modeling with Phoenix, R, Matlab, NONMEM, or Monolix.
• Advanced skills in experimental design, math problem solving, and data interpretation.
• Strong written and verbal communication with interdisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute model-based analyses.
• Frame critical drug development questions to optimize decisions using translational PK/PD.
• Develop and implement PK/PD, PBPK, QSP or other mechanistic models to inform dose and schedule.
• Conduct clinical trial simulations and comparator modeling to support go/no-go decisions.
• Partner with vendors and internal groups to integrate model-based strategies into development plans.
