Relativity Space in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Mechanisms to own major mechanized assemblies from design release through test and integration on the Terran R program. You will optimize build and test flows to scale production while ensuring high quality and repeatability.

You will lead cross-functional efforts across design, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality to develop electromechanical and pneumatic hardware such as landing legs mechanisms and actuators.

Competenze

• BS degree in aerospace, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering and 2+ years in hardware manufacturing.
• Experience developing processes and work instructions for mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic assemblies.
• Experience interfacing with design, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, planning, and production.
• Proven record of leading large process or quality improvements with broad scope.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

Mansioni

• Own major mechanized assemblies from design release through test and integration on Terran R.
• Drive build/test flow, part sourcing, sequencing, mbOM development, and specification authoring.
• Support workcenter development with safety, tooling, and capital equipment planning.
• Provide hands-on support on the shop floor and give upstream feedback for manufacturability.
• Analyze recurring manufacturing issues and lead root cause analyses and corrective actions.
• Mentor other manufacturing engineers and push for innovative, efficient production.
