Job summary

Relativity Space is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to own major mechanized assemblies from design release to test and integration on Terran R. You will drive build/test activities, co-ordinate part sourcing and BOMs, and support shop floor operations with a focus on manufacturability and efficiency.

You will mentor other engineers, resolve manufacturing discrepancies, and push for continuous improvement in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• BS degree in aerospace, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering.
• 2+ years of hardware manufacturing experience.
• Experience writing work instructions and test procedures.
• Experience interfacing with design, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams.

Responsibilities

• Own major mechanized assemblies and their child components from design release through test and integration on Terran R.
• Drive build and test effort through design integration, part sourcing, sequencing, and BOM development.
• Support workcenter development with assembly operations, tooling, and equipment needs.
• Provide hands-on shop floor support and upstream feedback for manufacturability.
• Analyze recurring manufacturing issues and lead root-cause/corrective actions.
• Foster critical thinking and mentor other manufacturing engineers.
