Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to serve as the primary Mechanical System Owner and technical authority for assigned plant assets at Citrus Combined Cycle Station. The role supports safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation through reliability and lifecycle planning, outages, and capital projects.

You will lead engineering decisions, coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, and OEMs, and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements while

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Engineering from ABET-accredited program; PE preferred.
• Minimum 6 years engineering experience or 5 years with PE.
• Master's degree may substitute B.S. in Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical systems and equipment with accountability for condition, performance and lifecycle planning.
• Monitor system health via data, trends, inspections, and evaluations.
• Lead outages, root-cause analyses, corrective actions, and reliability improvements.
