Job summary

Duke Energy in Florida seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to serve as the primary Mechanical System Owner and technical authority for Citrus Combined Cycle Station assets. Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering from ABET-accredited program or PE.
• Master’s degree in Engineering will be considered in lieu of the B.S.
• U.S. work authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as system owner for mechanical systems and equipment, with accountability for condition, performance, reliability, and long-range planning.
• Monitor system health through operating data, predictive maintenance results, inspections, and evaluations.
• Lead equipment failure reviews, root cause analyses, corrective actions, and resolution of complex reliability issues.
• Develop maintenance, replacement, upgrade, and spare-parts strategies with Operations/Maintenance.
• Provide engineering leadership for outages, including scopes, inspections, and contractor coordination.
• Identify, justify, and manage capital and O&M projects with business cases and schedules.
