Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to create and deploy mechanical mechanisms verified by tests and analyses, develop CAD models, and deliver PDPs on time to meet program objectives.

The role supports all phases of the systems lifecycle from design through installation, identifies design gaps, and provides cost-effective, innovative resolutions. A Secret security clearance and US citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in STEM with 2 years of related experience; master’s degree with 1 year (principal level 5/3).
• Must be a US citizen with active Secret clearance; SAP approval ability.
• Minimum 2 years CAD modeling experience; design/fabrication techniques for structures.
• Knowledge of GD&T, materials selection, and manufacturing processes is preferred.
• Proficient written and verbal communication; cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement deployable mechanical mechanisms verified by tests/analysis.
• Develop CAD models visualizing design solutions.
• Deliver PDPs on time to meet program objectives.
• Support all phases of the systems lifecycle from design to maintenance.
• Identify design gaps and provide cost-effective, innovative resolutions.
• Ensure PDPs meet design requirements from item specifications.
• Prepare and present reports, briefs, and design documents to customers.
