Job summary

100Hires, Inc. in West Virginia seeks a Staff Mechanical Systems Engineer to own mechanical components and electromechanical assemblies from concept through production, with ongoing cost and quality improvements after launch.

You will lead DFM/DFA reviews to improve manufacturability and assembly efficiency, participate in prototype builds, run fit checks, perform rework, and capture lessons learned for the next iteration on the production floor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of hands‑on product development for high‑volume electromechanical products.
• Experience with wire harnesses, busbars, sensors, control panels, plastic parts, sheet‑metal, PCBA assemblies.
• Fluency with 3D CAD, PLM, and formal engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

• Own development of mechanical components and electromechanical assemblies from concept to production.
• Lead DFM/ DFA reviews to improve manufacturability and assembly efficiency.
• Prototype builds: fit checks, rework, rapid prototyping, testing, troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with technicians and engineers to validate prototypes against timelines.
• Capture manufacturing feedback and drive design updates.
