Job summary

Lyntris is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical subsystem development for defense sensor and mission systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, external partners, and government stakeholders to deliver robust hardware solutions.

The role emphasizes technical authority, design maturity, and producibility, with a focus on integration, testing, and field-ready production processes. On-site/hybrid work in the Mullica Hill, NJ area is supported.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain DoD clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in mechanical subsystem research, design, development, integration, test, production transition, or technical oversight.
• Experience overseeing subcontractor, supplier, or external design partner execution, including review of technical data packages, drawings, analyses, manufacturing documentation, test plans, and delivered hardware.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering leadership and guide architecture, interfaces, and integration.
• Provide technical oversight of subcontractor and supplier mechanical activities and documents.
• Coordinate design reviews, technical interchange meetings, and action-item closure with partners and stakeholders.
• Support verification, production-readiness, and transition of prototype systems into repeatable production configurations.
