Job summary

Experienced or Senior Mechanical System Design Engineers are needed by The Boeing Company in the St. Louis area to develop, maintain and modify air vehicle subsystems and components. You will use 3-D CAD tools to define products and support lifecycle stages across engineering, production, and suppliers.

Requires BS in Engineering and 5+ years (Level 3) or 9+ years (Level 4) of related work. Proficiency with NX/Teamcenter and 2-D drawings, and eligibility for US security clearance, are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering with focus as listed.
• Level 3 requires 5+ years related work experience; Level 4 requires 9+ years.
• Experience with NX/Teamcenter and reading 2-D drawings.
• Ability to obtain US security clearance (US citizenship required).
• Interim/final U.S. Secret Clearance post-start required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate and document air vehicle subsystems requirements and designs.
• Use 3-D CAD tools to provide product definition for lifecycle.
• Lead tests and analyses to verify systems meet requirements.
• Manage supplier development, testing and production activities.
• Investigate emerging technologies for future product concepts.
• Work under general direction; some roles at Level 4 under minimal direction.
