Job summary

PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Systems Design Engineer in Wichita, KS. Hybrid schedule with two in-office days (Wednesday & Thursday) and flexible hours.

You will lead design, modification, and certification of aircraft mechanical systems across Learjet, Challenger, and Global platforms, engaging with suppliers and cross-functional teams. The role emphasizes collaboration, regulatory compliance, and rigorous engineering analyses to deliver safe, innovative aircraft modifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering.
• Experience supporting aircraft systems design, modification, or certification programs.
• Ability to independently manage engineering assignments from concept through completion.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical systems design efforts for aircraft modifications and certification.
• Support modification programs across defense and business jet platforms.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external suppliers.
• Conduct analyses, trade studies, and design reviews to drive solutions.
• Support customers and proposals for new work.
• Ensure compliance with FAA, EASA, TCCA and customer requirements.
