PDS Tech Commercial seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer for aerospace interiors and structural modifications. You will develop mechanical designs and documentation for certification, with emphasis on CATIA/NX/AutoCAD usage and compliance with FAA, EASA, and TCCA standards.

Location is Tucson, AZ; schedule includes 2 days in office and 3 remote days, with full-time employment. You will collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and regulatory teams to deliver safe, certifiable aircraft

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering; 5+ years of relevant engineering experience, or 10+ years in aviation design.
• Experience designing aircraft structures, interiors, or mechanical systems.
• Proficiency with CATIA, NX, or AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of FAA, EASA, and/or TCCA certification requirements.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare detailed drawings for aircraft interior and structural modifications.
• Develop engineering documentation, specifications, substantiation reports, and installation packages.
• Design aircraft components using CATIA (preferred), NX, or AutoCAD.
• Research component specs and select materials to meet requirements.
• Ensure designs comply with FAA, EASA, and TCCA regulations.
• Coordinate with suppliers, internal teams, and regulatory agencies during design and certification.
• Support development of SOWs, estimates, and customer proposals.
• Provide liaison engineering support to manufacturing for issues.
