Job summary

Bombardier Learjet Wichita is seeking a Propulsion Systems Engineer to design, integrate and certify propulsion solutions for advanced aircraft programs. You will collaborate across engineering disciplines, manage supplier interfaces, and contribute to proposal activities.

The role requires a Bachelor of Engineering and 5+ years in propulsion systems, with strong integration, communication skills, and readiness to travel for program needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical, Aerospace or Electrical engineering.
• At least 5 years' experience with aircraft propulsion systems (Powerplant, APU, Fuel).
• Familiar with design, qualification and certification test requirements of propulsion systems.
• Willingness to travel and work outside normal hours.
• Familiar with Part 25 certification guidelines.
• Strong integration and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide propulsion systems engineering support from proposal to development and certification.
• Develop concept studies, requirements capture and supplier engagement per customer requests.
• Lead system integration activities and update engineering documentation.
• Review supplier documentation and verification plans.
• Interface with internal and external stakeholders to support engineering activities.
• Support successful installations, modifications and operations of propulsion systems.
