Job summary

JDS Energy & Mining is seeking a Mechanical Superintendent for a site-based FIFO mining project. You will oversee field execution, supervise mechanical subcontractors, and ensure work aligns with drawings, specs, and codes while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will coordinate with project and engineering teams, manage QA/QC, and drive progress to meet schedule and budget objectives on a challenging site environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising mechanical subcontractors on field installations.
• Knowledge of project drawings, specs, and applicable codes (ASME/CSA/API).
• Ability to conduct QA/QC inspections and generate turnover packages.
• Lead safety programs, toolbox talks, and incident investigations.
• Coordinate with engineering and project teams to resolve field issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise mechanical subcontractors during installation and commissioning.
• Monitor progress to meet schedule milestones while upholding safety and quality.
• Oversee installation of pumps, tanks, and process infrastructure.
• Ensure QA/QC documentation and turnover packages are completed.
• Interface with superintendents, construction managers, and engineering teams.
