Job summary

Vertical Mechanical Group (VMG) seeks a Mechanical Superintendent to lead field operations on complex commercial construction projects. You will coordinate mechanical scopes across HVAC, plumbing, piping, and related trades, managing crews, schedules, and safety compliance to ensure quality outcomes.

You will oversee coordination with general contractors, BIM/VDC teams, and project management while maintaining a strong field presence. Travel to project sites is required as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial mechanical construction with field leadership.
• Strong experience with HVAC, plumbing, piping, and MEP systems.
• Experience supervising large-scale projects with multiple trades.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of safety, quality, and building codes.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations from startup through project completion.
• Coordinate foremen, field crews, subcontractors, and trade partners.
• Plan manpower, equipment, materials, and resources to meet schedules.
• Coordinate HVAC, plumbing, piping with surrounding trades.
• Monitor field productivity and milestones.
• Maintain safety, quality, and project documentation.
