Job summary

Vertical Mechanical Group (VMG) is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial HVAC and plumbing projects in the Baltimore area. You will coordinate field crews, subcontractors, equipment, and materials to keep work progressing safely and efficiently from start to closeout.

You will develop schedules, monitor productivity, and participate in client meetings while partnering with Project Managers to resolve field challenges and maintain VMG quality standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supervising commercial construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, Mechanical or MEP fields.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specs.
• Proven leadership and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• OSHA 30 is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day jobsite operations from project startup through closeout.
• Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, equipment, and materials to keep projects moving.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, sequencing, and manpower plans.
• Monitor productivity and ensure project milestones and deadlines are met.
• Participate in project meetings with clients, general contractors, and project partners.
• Work closely with Project Managers and other VMG team members to resolve field challenges.
