Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated (JLL) is seeking a Mechanical SME for Critical Facilities to serve as the technical authority for complex mechanical systems in large hyperscale data centers. The role focuses on HVAC design, energy efficiency, and reliable operations across multiple facilities.

You will lead technical assessments, mentor technicians, manage expansions and upgrades, and collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to deliver safe, compliant, and high-performance infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in building engineering with HVAC, plumbing, electrical maintenance
• Experience in Data Centers/Raised Floor environments
• EPA 608 Certification
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 80 lbs

Responsibilities

• Oversee HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems for data centers
• Apply mechanical principles to improve efficiency and reliability
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules and lead root cause analysis
• Lead incident management and after-hours support for the mechanical plant
• Drive energy efficiency initiatives and green technologies
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance (ASHRAE/ISO)
• Mentor technicians and manage projects and upgrades
• Coordinate with vendors and stakeholders on performance improvements
