Job summary

Smurfit WestRock is seeking a Mechanical Reliability Engineer in the Virginia area to lead and advance the Reliability program across the mill. You will promote proactive maintenance, oversee vibration and lubrication efforts, and partner with EMS and regulatory teams to ensure safe, efficient operations.

The role requires 2-5 years in manufacturing, a BS in Mechanical Engineering, and a passion for reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in manufacturing environments preferred.
• Strong understanding of reliability concepts and maintenance strategies.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Reliability program to improve equipment availability and reduce maintenance costs.
• Act as SME for site reliability and oversee Pressure Vessel and Tank integrity programs.
• Manage lubrication program, vendor interface, and conditioning of lubrication data.
