Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Reliability Engineer to join the Maintenance department. You will investigate reliability issues, support outages, and lead projects to improve equipment availability and reduce costs across the facility.

Ideal candidates hold a BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, demonstrate strong analytical and leadership skills, and uphold a safety-first mindset. You will report KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance team.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Strong engineering, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and leadership abilities; team player.
• Safety mindset with understanding of safety policies.
• Ability to execute, prioritize tasks, and manage progress.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve reliability issues across the facility.
• Provide daily technical assistance for mechanical issues in maintenance.
• Manage maintenance resources during outages or projects.
• Lead projects to improve equipment availability and reduce maintenance costs.
• Report KPIs detailing results of the reliability program.
• Submit recommendations and justifications for capital expenditures.
