Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Mechanical Quality Manager in the Saint Francisville, LA area to lead field quality assurance for industrial and commercial facilities. You will manage contractor quality plans, write and review ITPs, and drive timely inspections and nonconformance resolution on projects.

The role requires extensive QA/QC experience, strong communication, and the ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams. A hybrid work model and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in the Industrial Construction Field with QA/QC
• Effective oral and written communication
• Ability to read and understand engineering specifications, documents, and drawings
• Proficiency in Office 365 platforms such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas

Responsibilities

• Communicating field quality issues to appropriate stakeholders
• Working with discipline subcontractors to ensure contractor quality plans and ITPs are in place and compliant
• Leading contractor quality audits on-site and in fabrication facilities
• Ensuring ITPs and Test Packs are understood and completed on time
• Assisting in developing Construction Turn Over Package requirements
• Providing on-site assistance, monitoring and inspection of materials at receipt and before installation
• Capturing nonconformities in NCRs and ensuring corrective actions are implemented
