Job summary

RMG Staffing seeks an experienced Commercial HVAC Project Manager to oversee multiple mechanical installations across South and Central Florida. You will lead projects from pre-construction through commissioning, coordinating with general contractors, engineers, and field crews to deliver on time and within budget.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with hands-on involvement in schedules, budgets, RFIs, and quality control.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in HVAC Project/Construction PM roles.
• Experience managing commercial mechanical projects.
• Knowledge of Florida Mechanical Code and OSHA.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and specs.
• Coordinate with general contractors, engineers and inspectors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple commercial HVAC projects from start to finish.
• Lead projects from pre-construction through commissioning and closeout.
• Review drawings, specs, equipment schedules, and construction docs.
• Coordinate RFIs, submittals, permits, inspections, and documentation.
• Develop schedules, manpower plans, and procurement timelines.

• Coordinate with superintendents, foremen, installers, and subs daily.
• Ensure compliance with Florida Mechanical Code, OSHA, and quality standards.
• Visit job sites to monitor progress and resolve field issues.

Our client is seeking a motivated, organized, and hands‑on HVAC Construction Project Manager to oversee commercial HVAC installations across South and Central Florida. This role is ideal for someone with experience managing commercial mechanical projects who is ready to take ownership of multiple projects while working alongside general contractors, engineers, vendors, and field crews.

What You'll Do

As our HVAC Construction Project Manager, you'll be responsible for the successful execution of multiple commercial HVAC projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple commercial HVAC construction projects simultaneously.
• Lead projects from pre‑construction through commissioning and final closeout.
• Review mechanical drawings, specifications, equipment schedules, and construction documents.
• Coordinate RFIs, submittals, permits, inspections, and project documentation.
• Develop project schedules, manpower plans, and procurement timelines.
• Manage project budgets, equipment purchases, subcontractors, and change orders.
• Coordinate daily activities with superintendents, foremen, installers, and subcontractors.
• Ensure projects comply with Florida Mechanical Code, OSHA regulations, and company quality standards.
• Conduct job site visits to monitor progress, resolve field issues, and maintain project schedules.
• Build strong relationships with general contractors, owners, engineers, inspectors, and suppliers.
• Deliver projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as an HVAC Project Manager, Mechanical Project Manager, or Construction Project Manager.
• Strong experience managing commercial HVAC construction projects.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems including ductwork, rooftop units (RTUs), ventilation systems, exhaust systems, air distribution, and mechanical installations.
• Experience with project scheduling, budgeting, procurement, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and construction plans.
• Experience coordinating with general contractors, subcontractors, engineers, and inspectors.
• Knowledge of Florida building codes and commercial construction practices.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel throughout South and Central Florida.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, or similar construction management software.
• Experience with commercial projects including healthcare, restaurants, retail, industrial, education, hospitality, or mixed‑use developments.
• OSHA certification is a plus.
• PMP certification is a plus.

Work Schedule

• Monday through Saturday
• 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Saturdays may be required based on project schedules.
