Job summary

Mark III Construction, Inc. is seeking a senior Project Executive (PX) to lead a portfolio of complex mechanical projects and guide high-performing teams.

The PX is the #2 leader in the division, driving execution, profitability, client relationships, and talent development. This role balances strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, overseeing large-scale mechanical work across healthcare, higher education, and industrial markets in California and Nevada.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction experience (mechanical preferred).
• Proven leadership managing multiple PMs and large project portfolios.
• Strong financial acumen including forecasting, cost control, and margin management.
• Experience with complex commercial, industrial, or mission-critical projects.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to develop people and lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a portfolio of large-scale mechanical projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Lead project planning, job start meetings, and execution strategies.
• Ensure strong project setup, staffing, and mobilization.
• Conduct regular site visits to verify progress, quality, and risk mitigation.
• Own revenue, cost, and gross profit performance across projects.
• Monitor forecasts, labor productivity, and cost trends.
• Lead corrective actions to protect or recover margin.
• Partner with PMs and Division Manager to achieve business plan targets.
• Lead, mentor, and develop PMs, APMs, and Project Engineers.
• Support recruiting efforts and build bench strength.
• Review prime contracts and subcontracts and assist in negotiations.
• Identify and mitigate risk (financial, legal, operational).
• Maintain strong client relationships and participate in proposals.
