Cuhaci & Peterson Architects, Engineers & Planners, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer in Ambler, PA. The role requires a PE license, a BS in mechanical engineering, and 8+ years of industry experience to perform calculations, layout and design to high standards.

You will lead design teams, manage projects, and ensure contracts and codes are met, while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with project managers and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with 8+ years of experience is required.
• Strong leadership and project management capabilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering calculations and layout/designs per policies and codes with minimal supervision.
• Apply practical knowledge to resolve project-related problems and conflicts.
• Make independent engineering decisions for assigned tasks.
• Mentor and supervise junior designers/engineers as needed.
• Coordinate with Project Engineer/Project Manager on scope, schedule, and budgets.
• Prepare design budgets and schedules; estimate discipline man-hours.
• Provide construction documents matching client and project team requirements.
• Review designs with other disciplines for functionality and coordination.
• Contact clients as needed and perform quality assurance with the team.
