Job summary

CMTA is seeking a Senior Project Engineer, Mechanical, to design mechanical systems and lead projects from concept through completion. This hands-on role involves client, contractor, and architect coordination, ensuring designs meet codes and project goals.

Collaboration with AMA and CMTA teams will advance high-performance building projects. The position offers a salary range of $85,000 to $110,000 plus an annual bonus potential, a comprehensive benefits package, and a culture focused on

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Engineering required; PE highly preferred.
• 5-9 years of mechanical system design experience.
• Field experience required.
• Working knowledge of building codes and standards.
• AutoCAD and REVIT proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and apply standard design engineering techniques on varied projects (buildings, hospitals, offices, labs).
• Select and specify equipment for systems (pumps, boilers, chillers, AHUs).
• Prepare basis-of-design descriptions and respond to client comments; update designs in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Perform design load calculations and mechanical system design.
• Design energy-efficient systems and perform COMCheck; provide LEED/compliance documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
