Job summary

Afognak Native Corporation seeks a senior mechanical project coordinator to advise on all phases of mechanical project development for OBO/FAC. You will review designs, plan schedules, and coordinate multiple disciplines to ensure compliant, on-time delivery.

Responsibilities include cost analyses, scopes of work, and guiding contractors, with reporting to senior leadership and COR. Strong MS Project and AutoCAD skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; Master license considered if qualified.
• Working knowledge of MS Project.
• Valid driver’s license to operate Mission vehicles.
• Strong graphic/visualization skills; proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with project management concepts and best practices.
• Experience overseeing mechanical project planning/execution.
• Knowledge of equipment/supplies acquisition regulations.
• Ability to work with diverse stakeholders under pressure.
• Excellent written and oral communication for planning/reporting.

Responsibilities

• Advise on project schedules, changes, and tracking; manage updates.
• Review planning docs, designs, and code compliance.
• Peer review plans, specs, and technical reports.
• Develop cost-benefit analyses and life cycle estimates.
• Draft scopes of work and conduct feasibility studies.
• Coordinate with stakeholders; ensure contract stipulations followed; report to COR.
• Identify alternatives and develop action plans to meet needs.
• Ensure actions align with senior leadership decisions; timely follow-up.
• Advise DOS on reports for senior leaders; handle sensitive docs.
• Ensure documents are well-written and coordinated; supervise technical info.
• Develop assessments of project effectiveness; propose improvements.
• Collaborate with multiple disciplines; support planning, review, bid, construction.
• Enlist staff support to meet objectives; ensure implementation.
• Ensure objectives met and recommendations implemented; monitor results.
• Provide technical guidance and annual training; develop staff.
• Train personnel on project functions.
