Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC is seeking a Senior Preconstruction Manager - Mechanical to serve as a mechanical SME across regions. You will support preconstruction teams with budgeting guidance, vendor knowledge, and training to improve conceptual estimates.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in mechanical estimating/preconstruction, deep systems knowledge, and strong vendor relationships to influence pricing, risk, and buyout strategy.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical estimating, subcontracting, or mechanical preconstruction.
• Deep knowledge of mechanical systems, installation methods, and production rates.
• Strong vendor market knowledge and relationships.
• Experience developing conceptual/schematic-level budgets for large projects.
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office.
• Self-directed and department-wide resource management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the mechanical SME for the preconstruction department across projects.
• Develop conceptual and schematic-level mechanical budgets to support early pursuits.
• Validate mechanical scope, pricing assumptions, and risk areas on complex projects.
• Refine procurement strategies including trade packaging and early release packages.
• Advise on market conditions, production rates, and buyout strategies.
• Maintain relationships with mechanical trade partners and vendors company-wide.
• Develop and deliver internal training on mechanical systems and estimating practices.
• Capture and maintain historical cost data and benchmarking metrics.
• Participate in project reviews and risk assessments as a mechanical advisor.
• Stay current on mechanical costs, systems, codes, and market trends.
