Job summary

Comprehensive Energy Services, Inc. is hiring a commercial construction Mechanical/Plumbing Superintendent.

The Superintendent reports to the Field Operations Manager and collaborates with Foremen, Project Managers, BIM and other members of the construction operations team. It is the Super's responsibility to monitor, track and manage the field team by starting and finishing projects strongly and in compliance with company processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years of mechanical and plumbing supervision experience.
• OSHA 30 hour certification, First Aid and CPR current.
• Strong familiarity with plumbing and mechanical codes.
• High school diploma or GED and completion of a two-year post-secondary program or apprenticeship or similar training.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise all CES trade activities including method, manpower, materials, equipment, and schedules.
• Coordinate work with CES trades, departments, or other subcontractors on projects.
• Monitor and track projects to ensure start and finish plans are in place.
• Assist Operations team to complete start/finish plans on projects.
• Provide oversight to solve project challenges as directed by the Operations Manager or VP of Construction.
• Submit input on means, methods and best practices for field operations.
• Attend Kick-Off, Labor Forecasting, and other required meetings.
• Evaluate work performance of assigned personnel.
• Forecast manpower requirements for projects.
• Document changes in work scope and prepare time and material estimates for contract changes.
