Job summary

Southland Industries in Houston seeks a senior field supervisor to direct piping, plumbing, or sheet metal craft crews, guiding field supervision and ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and cost‑efficiency guidelines. You will plan labor requirements, mentor staff, interpret policies, and coordinate project execution from start to finish.

This role requires strong leadership, hands‑on problem solving, and a commitment to on‑time delivery in a fast paced environment while supporting union

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Completion of craft apprenticeship program or equivalent skill level.
• 5+ years in supervisory position.
• OSHA-30 certification; obtain within 6 months if not current.
• Active Texas Journeyman Plumber license may be required for field supervision.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate craft personnel for project activities.
• Mentor supervision personnel and act as senior technical advisor.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and cost guidelines.
• Interpret policies and implement safety programs.
• Develop and monitor quality control programs.
• Monitor work procedures, delays, and incidents; resolve issues.
• Oversee scheduling, labor and cost tracking, and reporting.
• Assist in supervisory training and provide technical guidance to departments.
