Job summary

BIC Recruiting is seeking a Piping Superintendent for an on-site, turnkey piping leadership role in Houston, TX. The position directs and leads a piping crew on projects, managing all aspects of piping installation from planning to turnover.

The role requires strong supervisory skills, thorough knowledge of piping installation, drawings and specs, and the ability to coordinate with multiple trades and subcontractors on complex industrial construction projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience supervising pipefitters, welders, crafts personnel and apprentices.

Responsibilities

• Supervise one or more crews and train pipefitters, welders, crafts personnel and apprentices.
• Plan, organize and assign piping work for crews.
• Coordinate piping installation with other trades and project personnel.
• Review piping drawings, isometrics, specs and project requirements to ensure work complies with plans.
• Monitor piping installation, fabrication, fit-up, welding, testing and turnover.
