Job summary

Skillforce is seeking a Mechanical Pipe Foreman to lead field operations in the DMV area for mechanical construction projects. You will supervise a crew of 3–8, coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment, and ensure work aligns with drawings, specs, and safety requirements.

The ideal candidate has proven leadership in mechanical piping, ability to interpret P&IDs, and hands-on experience with fabrication, installation, and testing of piping systems.

Qualifications

• Experience leading mechanical, piping, or pipefitting crews in commercial/industrial settings.
• Ability to read P&IDs, mechanical plans, and piping drawings.
• Proficiency with pipe fabrication and installation tools and equipment.
• Strong focus on safety and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate mechanical craft personnel throughout daily construction activities.
• Assign tasks and establish priorities to keep crews productive and on schedule.
• Review project drawings, P&IDs, specs, and installation details before starting work.
• Determine piping materials, fittings, valves, supports, and installation methods.
