Fluidstack is seeking a Principal Operations Engineer to oversee mechanical and cooling infrastructure across our AI data centers. In this senior role, you'll ensure operational excellence for mission-critical systems, leading audits and assessments to uphold standards.

The ideal candidate has over 10 years of experience in mission-critical environments, with strong skills in mechanical systems, operations, and leading teams. This role involves travel and collaboration to drive operational success across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on experience with mechanical systems.
• Experience in data center operations strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to author and execute high-risk operational procedures.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the principal authority for mechanical infrastructure.
• Lead technical and operational audits for sites.
• Own operational readiness for new sites.

Skills

Hands-on experience in mission-critical mechanical systems

Strong written communication

Ability to lead root-cause analysis

Accountability in vendor relationships

Education

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
