Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer to lead Large Form Assembly (LFA) manufacturing operations. You will architect, sustain, and optimize mechanical assembly processes, develop DFA/DFM strategies, and drive PFMEA and tolerance analyses to ensure safety, quality, and cost efficiency across NPI, ramp, and sustaining phases.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical/related field.
7+ years of progressive mechanical manufacturing experience.
Experience leading DFM/DFA initiatives.
Experience PFMEA and risk mitigation documentation.
Strong reading of mechanical drawings including GD&T.

Responsibilities

Lead development and control of mechanical manufacturing docs (WIs, drawings, SOPs, BOMs).
Conduct DFA/DFM reviews during NPI to optimize manufacturability.
Develop PFMEA and risk assessments for mechanical assemblies.
Define standardized assembly methodologies, torque validation, gaskets, and alignment techniques.
Analyze tolerance stack-ups to prevent misalignment and leakage.
Lead layout for mechanical subassemblies (frames, enclosures, piping).
Create trainable, production-ready instructions from complex drawings.
Improve safety, ergonomics, takt time, and labor efficiency.
Collaborate with Industrial, Electrical, Controls, and Test Eng to improve flow.
