Job summary

Commonwealth of Kentucky in Frankfort, KY seeks a Mechanical Maint & Operations Consultant to supervise maintenance projects, manage plumbing systems, and support boiler and chiller operations. The role requires hands-on oversight of repairs, cost estimates, schedules, and compliance with maintenance policies.

Qualified candidates will have a master plumber preference, five years’ PM experience, and proficiency with Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in the maintenance or repair of HVAC, refrigeration, ventilation, or electrical systems.
• High school graduate.
• Formal training in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Experience in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the education on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise new maintenance projects and repairs with primary focus on plumbing, plumbing infrastructure, boilers, and other water systems.
• Perform investigations, troubleshooting, repairs and audits of Park plumbing systems.
• Develop project-scoping documents, cost estimates, and project schedules; provide status updates and budget reports.
• Utilize Parks project and cost-tracking tools via Excel spreadsheets and other databases.
• Provide technical advice and training to Park staff to enhance understanding of mechanical systems and preventative maintenance.
