Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer for the Power global practice. The role covers design and evaluation of mechanical systems for coal and natural gas facilities, with responsibilities from front-end planning to construction administration.

Candidates should have a BS in Mechanical Engineering (ABET) and at least 7 years of experience; FE is required, PE preferred. Travel up to 25% is anticipated.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering from ABET-accredited program; FE exam completed or in progress.
• MS degree may substitute for one year of experience.
• PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design projects for gas/coal-fired facilities.
• Provide front-end planning, preliminary design, and code analysis.
• Oversee bidding documents, specifications, and construction administration.
