Job summary

Toledo Refining Company is seeking a Superintendent of Inspection to provide leadership for fixed equipment MI excellence. You will manage a staff of inspectors and contractors, guiding RBI-based inspection strategies and regulatory compliance.

The role requires extensive MI experience, API certifications, and strong communication and leadership skills to prioritize inspections, oversee turnarounds, and ensure safe asset reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 10+ years in refinery/petrochemical (or related) mechanical integrity support.
• 5+ years direct fixed equipment, piping, tank inspection or MI experience.
• Current API 510/570/653 certs required.
• Knowledge of NBIC, API-571/580/579, and ASME PCC-2.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct ~8 inspectors and contractors to uphold MI excellence.
• Oversee RBI and IWR processes to address deficiencies and prevent loss of containment.
• Ensure compliance with NBIC, API codes, and safety practices across the refinery.
• Manage corrosion control, repairs, and QA/QC for fixed equipment and piping.
• Provide guidance on inspection priorities, turnaround support, and regulatory interpretation.
