Job summary

LyondellBasell Industries in Houston seeks a Mechanical Integrity Engineer to oversee and improve pressure equipment RBI programs and related inspections across multiple sites. You will lead technical assessments, help close gaps to corporate standards, and guide asset integrity initiatives while traveling as needed.

The role requires a strong background in mechanical integrity, RBI, and stationary equipment, with hands-on audit and leadership experience across petrochemical environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Alternatively, 15 years of direct experience managing an inspection program.

Responsibilities

• Proactively review site mechanical integrity programs to identify gaps and align with corporate best practices.
• Lead Auditor for the Stationary Equipment GAIS in OE Audits.
• Provide technical leadership for inspection, maintenance, and turnaround activities at manufacturing sites.
• Serve as stationary equipment SME and GAIT focal point for Turnarounds, including peer reviews and on-site support.
